from the concert Soundscapes of Modernity: Jews and Music in Polish Cities (2017):

🎧 Rochel's keiver by Zavel Zilberts
🎧 Szkoda twoich Ĺ‚ez, dziewczyno by Artur Gold

These recordings from a 2017 concert have been recently published as of 2023 as part of the new companion website for the book Polish Jewish Culture Beyond the Capital: Centering the Periphery, edited by Halina Goldberg and Nancy Sinkoff (with Natalia Aleksiun) and published by Rutgers University Press.

The concert featured music of Polish Jews that is little known to American audiences—choral pieces from nineteenth-century progressive (“Reform”) congregations, compositions associated with Jewish music societies, popular music, and avant-garde works by Jewish composers.

Polish Jewish Culture Beyond the Capital: Centering the Periphery won the Polish Institute of Arts and Sciences of America (PIASA)'s Anna M. Cienciala Award for Best-Edited Multi-Authored Scholarly Volume. The book has also been shortlisted by the American Association of Teachers of Slavic and East European Languages (AATSEEL) for Best Edited Multi-Author Scholarly Volume of 2024.
